Job Title: Assistant Baker

Job Objective:
Assist the production supervisor in supervision, coordination, and implementation of high-quality efficient production and presentation of all bakery products
Essential Functions:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to follow complex recipes
- Ability to utilize daily production sheets
- Ability to adhere to and enforce sanitation, safety and health procedures
- Ability to provide supervision, training, and cross training in the absence of the production supervisor
- Availability to be scheduled during all major holidays and on all weekends
Job Duties:
- Daily production of all baked goods according to the daily production sheet, maintaining highest quality and ensuring efficiency and productivity; assists in supervision of the preparation and production of goods to serve the retail and wholesale customer demands
- Supervise all production staff in daily production and keep production supervisor informed of any breakage, shortage, personnel issues
- Maintain orderliness of inventory, keep production supervisor informed of product needs
- Follows written formulas and procedures and ensures high quality standards are met
- Supervise and assist in the cleaning and closing of the production area
- Provide advocacy, guidance and support to all co-workers and inform the training department of any special training needs or problems
- Maintain a positive attitude and a good working relationship with the staff; provide customers with good customer service
- Observe confidentiality in all our interactions and accept any other duties assigned
Education/Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year experience in bakery or bakery production field
