Job Title: Sales Associate
Classification: Production
Reports Directly To: Assistant Operations Manager or Operations Manager
Probationary Period: 30 Days
Resignation Notice: 2 weeks
Minimum Hours of Work Expected Weekly: 25-35, Must be available to work on Saturday, no Sundays.
Job Objective:
To present and sell product, providing excellent customer service to retail customers
Essential Functions:
- Ability to lift 20 pounds
- Ability to communicate with public an interpret, understand and implement customer requests
- Ability to maintain high productivity rate to meet customer demands while maintaining quality and consistency in both product presentation and in customer service
- Availability to be scheduled during all major holidays and on Saturdays
Job Duties:
- Responsible for the daily presentation of product including packaging and completing all special orders on time and according to order.
- Perform all cash handling and register procedures
- Provides direct customer service and provides information in person and over the telephone to assist customers in placing order
- Maintain orderliness of inventory
- Perform all opening and closing procedures as written and/or directed.
- Properly rotate all product according to the UPFRESH system
- Provide advocacy and support to all co-workers
- Inform Retail Supervisor of any special training needs or problems
- Maintain a positive attitude and a good working relationship with all Sugar Plum staff, provide our friends and customers with the service they deserve, observe confidentiality in all our interactions and accept any other duties assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Experience in providing customer service in a retail setting
- Cash register and cash handling experience
